Literatur von der Antike bis ins 20. Jahrhundert dargestellt sind, mit ihrem geschichtlichen, kulturellen u. kommerziellen Hintergrund. Mit frühen Dokumenten zur Erfindung des Buchdrucks in Asien u. Europa sowie Register zu Bdn. 1 u. 2 in Bd. 1. - Sigfred Taubert (1914-2008) kam nach einer gründlichen u. umfassenden buchhändlerischen u. Antiquariatsausbildung nach längeren Lehr- u. Wanderjahren Anfang der 50er Jahre zum Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels nach Frankfurt/Main. Zunächst für Presse- u. Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zuständig, wurde er 1958 Leiter des Büros für die Buchmesse, das seinerzeit dem Verlegerausschuss des Börsenvereins unterstand, ab 1964 dann Geschäftsführer der Ausstellungs- u. Messe GmbH des Börsenvereins u. offiziell mit dem Titel Direktor der Frankfurter Buchmesse ausgestattet (Nachruf von Klaus G. Saur, Börsenblatt, 14.1.2008). - Gutes Exemplar
